Our kitchen cooks both modern and traditional German dishes. Northern German classics such as Labskaus and Hamburger Pannfisch, plus Mediterranean influences, changing special menus and seasonal dishes.
In November 2021 we completely renovated the old Gaststätte Bunthaus: kitchen, dining room, counter, bar and beer garden. The maritime feel has stayed, and lots of attention to detail has been added.

The restaurant
The cosy heart of the Bunthäuser Spitze. Hanseatic charm and a menu for young and old.
In summer and at weekends it gets busy. Best to book ahead, then your favourite table will be free.
Café, bar and open fire
At weekends and on public holidays we're a café in the afternoon, with speciality coffees, gateaux and cakes. In the evening it gets cosy: at the bar, at the counter or by the crackling fire.
Drinks, cocktails and cold soft drinks to toast your holiday. Or simply a good day on the Elbe.
The beer garden
Long summer evenings in the open air, surrounded by nature between the Norderelbe and the Süderelbe. Outside you get the full Stackmeister menu.
Popular with campers, cyclists on the Elbe Cycle Route and anyone who fancies getting out of Hamburg for a bit.
Your celebration on the Elbe
Birthday, wedding or company party: from 1 October to 13 March, while the motorhome site takes its winter break, Der Stackmeister is all yours.

Frequently asked questions
Do I have to be staying at the motorhome site to eat at Der Stackmeister?
No. Der Stackmeister is a completely normal restaurant and open to everyone, whether you're staying with us in your motorhome, cycling along the Elbe or coming out from Hamburg.
When is Der Stackmeister open?
All year round. Monday to Friday from 17:00 to 22:00, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays from 13:00 to 22:00. The kitchen closes for hot food at 20:45.

Yes, by phone on +49 40 700 11372. We especially recommend booking on warm summer evenings and at weekends.
What kind of food does Der Stackmeister serve?
Fresh German food: northern German classics, modern dishes and Mediterranean influences, plus changing special menus, brunch and our Grill-Satt. At weekends and on public holidays there's also coffee and cake.
Can you hold a party at Der Stackmeister?
Yes. From 1 October to 13 March our rooms are available for private parties, weddings and company celebrations. Write to info@derstackmeister.de or give us a call, and we'll put together an offer for you.
Where is Der Stackmeister and how do I get there?
At Moorwerder Hauptdeich 33 in 21109 Hamburg, right at the Bunthäuser Spitze between the Norderelbe and the Süderelbe. Take bus 351 to the Freiluftschule Moorwerder stop, and from there it's a few minutes' walk. There's parking on site.
