Booking and arrival

How does booking work here?

You can book half of our 111 pitches online in advance. We keep the other half free for spontaneous arrivals. You book those pitches on the day you arrive, online or round the clock at the terminal in the registration room.

Can I book by phone or email?

No. Every booking is paid straight away, by credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. That's why it only works through our booking portal, at the terminal on site or at reception during reception hours.

How do I get onto the site?

You just drive in. The camera at the entrance recognises your number plate and checks you in automatically. So make sure you enter your number plate exactly right when you book, otherwise the automatic check-in won't work and your electricity bollard stays off.

When are check-in and check-out?

Your pitch is ready from 13:00. On the day you leave you need to be gone by 12:00. If you leave later, you pay for a full extra day. You can arrive round the clock.

Can we drive off with the motorhome during our stay?

Yes, as often as you like. Your electricity bollard stays on. If you want to save power, switch it off in your customer account.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. Up to 10 days before arrival you can cancel yourself in your customer account or by email to info@elbepark-bunthaus.de. We then keep a handling fee of 20 % of the booking price. If you cancel later, we only refund 20 % of the fees plus the utility credit you paid in. The deadlines in your booking confirmation and our terms and conditions are binding.

How many people can stay overnight on one pitch?

Each pitch allows one motorhome with a maximum of 6 people.

How much does a night cost?

Depending on the area, the pitch fee is between 25 and 31 € per night. On top of that there's the guest fee (4,00 € per adult, 2,50 € per child per night) and a utility credit for electricity and showers (3 € per adult, 2 € per child per night). Any credit you don't use is refunded automatically.

Is the motorhome site free of charge?

No. A night costs 25 to 31 € depending on the area, plus a guest fee. In return, water, waste disposal and Wi-Fi are free, and you pay for electricity by usage.

Where is the motorhome site in Hamburg?

In the south of Hamburg, right on the Elbe at the Bunthäuser Spitze. The Elbphilharmonie is 12 kilometres away, and by bus 351 and S-Bahn you reach the central station in about 30 minutes. Address: Moorwerder Hauptdeich 33, 21109 Hamburg.

  • Green: the pitch is free and bookable for the coming night.
  • Red: the pitch is booked.
  • Amber: power is switched on for you.
  • Amber flashing: your credit is used up. Top it up in your customer account.
  • Red flashing: the RCD has tripped. You can reset it yourself.

No power? Quick check

  • Invoice paid, including the credit for power and showers?
  • Is it after 1 pm on your arrival day?
  • Does the number plate in your booking match exactly?
  • Are you on the pitch you booked?
  • Is there still credit in your customer account?

Matching adapters are available in the Bunthaus shop at reception.

Booking and customer account

Extending, swapping pitches, remaining credit: here is how.

How do I extend my stay?

An extension is a new booking. Open your booking in the customer account and click “new booking”, your details are already filled in. Do not check yourself out, your remaining credit stays in the account and is used for the new booking. You can stay on the old pitch until 12 noon, the new one has power from 1 pm.

Can I swap my pitch?

Ask at reception, by email or phone, we will try to make it work. Moving to a more expensive area is only possible at reception, as it is paid on the spot. Your best chance is on the day of arrival, a booking cannot be split. Please do not book a second pitch, otherwise one stays empty.

I booked at the terminal or at reception. How do I get into my customer account?

First set a password. In the booking portal click “Login” and then “Forgot password”. Enter the email address from your booking and request the code by email or text message. Keep the page open, enter the 6-digit code and choose your new password.

What can I do in my customer account?

View your booking, change your number plate, top up credit, see your power and shower use day by day, switch the power post off and on, and book again. Please only click check-out when you are really leaving for good.

How quickly do I have to pay online?

Within 30 minutes, otherwise the booking lapses. You receive one invoice covering the pitch, visitor tax and the credit for power and showers. Please pay it via the link in the invoice. Your pitch only counts as booked once payment has arrived.

How do I get my remaining credit back?

Booked online or at the terminal: automatically refunded to your payment method after check-out, depending on your bank this can take up to 7 days. Booked or topped up at reception: we can only refund the remaining credit in cash. Please come to reception between 9 and 10 am on your departure day.

Where do I find my QR code?

In your booking emails, especially the email “direst check-in successful”, in your customer account and on the terminal printout. The code is your credit for the showers and opens the toilet doors. Not readable or not with you? We will print it for you at reception.

I can see an empty pitch. Can I just park there?

Please do not. An empty pitch is not automatically free, it is often booked for later. You can see which pitches are free for your dates when booking. Book first, then park, and do not leave the site before you are on the right pitch.
